Given,

The number of days to finish the work by Justin = 79 days

And, the number of days to finish the same work by Jesse = 84 days

Thus, the number of days to finish the work by Justin and Jesse together = ?

Here,

∵ In 79 days the work done by Justin = 1

∴ In 1 day, the work done by Justin = 1/79 part

Similarly,

∵ In 84 days the work done by Jesse = 1

∴ In 1 day, the work done by Jesse = 1/84 part

Now, in 1 day, the work done by Justin and Jesse together

= In 1 day work done by Justin + In 1 day the work done by Jesse

= 1/79 + 1/84

= 84 + 79/6636

= 163/6636 part of work

This means in 1 day, 163/6636 part of work is done by Justin and Jesse working together.

Now, the number of days required to finish 163/6636 part of work by Justin + Jesse working together = 1

∴ the number of days required to finish 1 work by Justin + Jesse together
