Flowers

Flower is the most beautiful part of a plant. Most of the flowers are colourful. Flowers has pleasant smell. Flowers attract the insect and helps in reproduction. Flower grows and turn into fruit. Most of the fruits have seeds which produced new plant.

Flower is reproductive part of plant. Different flower has different shape, size and colours. Some flowers like rose, dahlia, kachnar, marigold have very attractive colours. Some flowers like sadabahar, chameli, keora, champa, motia are of white colours, they have very pleasant fragrance.

Buds:

Buds grow into flowers, and flowers grow into fruits. Different types of plants have different sizes of buds. Buds are actually green leaves. Buds keep little flower protected.

Colourful part of a flower attract insects. Insects helps flower in reproduction.

Uses of flowers

We use flowers in decorating our house.

Flowers are used in worship.

Some flowers are used in making medicines, for example - cloves.

The oil is extracted from the dried flowers and buds of the clove and used in medicine.

Flower of Arnica are used for making lotion to cure wounds and injuries.

Rose water are also used in making sweets and medicines.

Marigold and zenia are used in making colours.

Some flowers are used as vegetables like kachnar, flower of banana, sahjan, etc.

Rose, jasmine, keora, and lavender, etc. are used in making perfumes.

Seasons of flowers:

All flowers are not bloom throughout the year.

Some flowers bloom in summer, like Motia, sadabahar, china rose, chameli and lily.

Rose, Dahlia,Chrysanthmum are commonly bloom in winter season and are generally called winter flowers.

Fruits

We all eat different types of fruits. Fruits are very nutritious, healthy and tasty. Fruits give vitamins, minerals and fibres to us.

Flowers change into fruits.

Some fruits have one seed like mango, litchi, peach.

Some fruits have many seeds like water melon, grapes, apples, oranges, papaya and amla.

Flowers of banana and grapes have not seed.

We get different types of fruits in different seasons. Water melon, mango, litchi etc. are summer fruits.

Apple, grapes, oranges are winter fruits.

Dry fruits:

Cashewnuts, almond, walnuts, are called dry fruits. These fruits are first dried then used. Dry fruits are very nutritious. It gives us energy and keeps our body warm.
