Question (2) Using divisibility tests, determine which of the following numbers are divisible by 4; by 8:

(a) 572

**Explanation**

If the last two digits of a number is divisible by 4, then the number is divisible by 4.

In the given number 572, the last two digits 72 is divisible by 4, thus 572 is divisible by 4.

The divisibility of 572 by 8 can be test by actual division. 572 is not divisible by 8.

(b) 726352 (Is 726352 divisible by 4 and 8?)

**Reason**: Since, the last two digits forming 726352 which is equal to 52 is divisible by 4, thus 726352 is divisible by 4.
